Cardplayer.com reports “The no-limit hold’em event, which concluded the 23-event series, had a buy-in of $2,500 (with $100 entry fee) and a $5 million-guaranteed prize pool. The event had 2,998 entrants, which meant that the tournament had almost $2.5 million more in the prize pool than guaranteed, at $7,495,000. That prize pool offered a first-place prize of almost $1.4 million if the final table went without a chop. (Last year’s WCOOP main event also had a first-place prize of more than $1 million, but the prize money was chopped, and eventual winner J.C. “area23JC” Tran actually earned a little less than $700,000.):.
